This recognition reminds us all to appreciate that the work of women and all those who participate in higher education lifts up future generations and our entire communities.

Whitney Daugherty received the Rising Woman Leader Award!
This award recognizes a woman who:
- Demonstrates an upward trajectory through advancement in leadership roles,
- Shows commitment to advocating for other women's professional development, advancement, or inclusion within their sphere of influence,
- Is perceived as a leader with great promise, and
- Actively contributes within the ACE-WIN Organization.

Lisa Givan and Dr. Laura Treanor received the Distinguished Woman Leader Award!
This award represents women who:
- Advocate for women and have pioneered change.
- Champion the advancement of women in leadership roles and have been a voice for all women in higher education.
- Are celebrated for providing outstanding leadership to women in their institutions, field of expertise, and/or in society at large.
- Are well-known for inspirational, inclusive, innovative work on behalf of women that goes beyond the scope of their formal job descriptions.

ACE WIN Recognizes and Thanks all Nominees
The Rising Women Leader Award received three nominations:

- Carolyn Norstrom, Chief Administrative Officer and Interim Provost, Purdue Global,
- Laura Treanor, Provost, Vincennes University.
Indiana ACE Women’s Network is a community inclusive of all women that inspires, develops, and supports women leaders to transform higher education. The organization seeks to inspire others through the recognition of outstanding women within the organization with two awards:
Distinguished Woman Leader’s Award: This award honors someone who advocates for women and has either pioneered or been a catalyst for change; champions the advancement of women in leadership roles; been a voice for all women in higher education; is celebrated as providing outstanding leadership to women in their institutions, field of expertise, and or in society at large; and is well-known for inspirational, inclusive, innovative work on behalf of women that is outside the scope of the nominee’s formal regular job description.
The Rising Woman Leader Award honors someone who has shown an upward trajectory through advancement in leadership roles, demonstrates a commitment to advocating for other women’s professional development, advancement, or inclusion within their sphere of influence, and is seen as a leader with great promise, and is an active contributor within the ACE WIN Organization.
